SchoolThe Power "That will have its rise from here will flood the whole world and turn the course of men's life into different channels". Swamiji's plan for action through education for 'karmayagna' is fourfold - relief and rehabilitation, health and hygiene, education and spiritual service.

The wave of Swamiji's words reached this tribal, rural, economically backward, under-developed remote area which though flanked by three distant rivers, remained spiritually parched. This small area with its man farming materials and their farming instruments had a fresh a lease of life with the setting up of Ramakrishna Vivekananda International English High Schoo, started in the year 1999 up to class IV in a wretched house with rendering selfless service to the poor and needy students.

Shibu Ranjan Khan, the founding President initiated massive programmes under the able guidance of Swami Krishnananda Maharaj of Sakchi Ramakrishna Mission and a batch of saffron clad sacred souls was carried forward with a missionary zeal through socialization, participation in humanitarian activities, intensive interaction with people around and dissemination of education. Later the school was upgraded to class V, VI, VII and VIII and was granted 'recognition' of Jharkhand Human Resources and Development. In the year 2014 the school was again upgraded to obtain affiliation from ICSE, New Delhi for Day cum residential School which today became a premier institution for academic excellence with man making and character building as the sole objective. With Swami Natarajananda Maharaj and Swami Paratattwananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math, Ghatsila and Swami Amritarupananda as the trendsetters, there was active involvement and dedicated service of monks.

Thus there was a unique blend of two parallel streams of activities - propagation of Holy Trio's message and extension of education through various programmes. In course of time it flourished into a pioneering institution in this region.

In course of time when necessity arose to impart new edge education for the next generation with the growing demand of the 'learning society' at large and horizontal expansion in all the dimensions, the school was subsequently transformed to a spacious and sprawling land with amiable ambience which though initially brown and barren turned into a lush green place punctuated with lawns and gardens at the northern outskirt of Chakulia. The two storied building designed in the model of L has become a holy place of learning.

Along with achieving academic excellence the students of the school are showing equal proficiency and imprinting their skill in co curricular as well as social activities along with cultivation of culture in both district and state level.

Being inspired and fired by the lofty philosophy as propounded by Swamiji, RVIEHS, Chakulia is offering sincere service to 'That God who by the ignorant is called man'.

A round the clock medical infirmary, a reference library, three well equipped laboratories, daily spiritual classes providing assistance to the children amply proves the mission of the institution.

As man making education and character formation remain incomplete without attainment of self sufficiency, a Vocational Training Centre has been started with a view to equipping learners with practical, pragmatic need based and Value Oriented Education of 'head, hand and heart'.
